What does Kolhapuri-style mean?

The shape and detailing follow the Kolhapur tradition. These are made by Ethik, not GI-certified Kolhapuri chappals from Kolhapur, and we would rather say so.
Peshawari sandal is a traditional semi-closed sandal best for festive occasions and event wear.

How do they fit?

Kolhapuri-style: Your toes go through the toe ring and the band sits across the front of your foot. The back is open, so the fit comes from the front. If you're between sizes, [go half a size down] so the band holds your foot without gripping it.

Peshawari: The front is closed and a strap holds your heel. It fits like a shoe, so take [your usual shoe size]. If you're between sizes, [go half a size up].

Wrong size? Exchange it within 7 days of delivery.

Will they last a full wedding day?

Yes. That's what they're made for.

Kolhapuri-style: The open design keeps your feet cool through a long day of guests, and the pair slips off in seconds at the temple or the pooja.

Peshawari: The back strap keeps it on through the baraat and the dance floor. The closed front holds its shape with a sherwani until the last photo.

Both have a [cushioned] footbed and a flexible sole that [grips on marble and tile]. Like any new pair, they need a few hours to settle in, so wear them around the house for an evening before the big day.

What are they made of?

Nothing from an animal. Every pair is vegan and PETA-approved.

• Upper: [vegan leather, plain or textured, by style]
• Lining and footbed: [material], with [cushioning]
• Sole: [rubber / TPR], made to grip
• Care: wipe with a soft, damp cloth, and keep them away from heavy rain and direct heat.
